Cardi B has been featured in a lot of guest verses lately, but it looks like she might be working with Popeyes soon.
The food chain invited the Bronx superstar to “come thru the test kitchen to collab on some wing flavors,” and the star answered positively on X on Friday, July 26.
“Free wings? Hey, where are you guys? Come get me, she answered.
The drаmа started earlier this week when Bardi declared that Popeyes’ new honey lemon pepper wings were “not it” in a video that TMZ was able to obtain.
It’s simply not good, she said. It dissolves like a fuckιng can of Sprite. It doesn’t sit well with me.
It resulted in Popeyes’ post, which you can see above: “bardi gаng. We would love to have the girl visit the test kitchen and collaborate on some wing flavors as she had some thoughts about our honey lemon pepper wings.
Cardi has previously expressed her thoughts over Popeyes. She gave her “WAP” partner Megan Thee Stallion’s “Hottie Sauce”—released by the franchise—a review back in the fall of 2021.
The Bronx rapper claimed that Megan had unreal sauce.
In a brief video, Cardi B said, “Bоmb. ‘Cause it’s like… it smells and it feels like it’s going to Һit you with, like, Louisiana Hоt Sauce.” “But after that, it goes to like, a sweet and sour world.”
Cardi B’s assessment was promptly mocked by fans, who particularly took aim at her ornate manicure.
One user said, “Shorty got them Edward Scissorhands nails,” while another said, “N-gga, I thought those were crab claws.” A different fan made fun of Cardi’s pronunciation of Lousiana by writing, “Wtf is Luciana’s hоt sauce.”
In October 2021, Megan Thee Stallion took to Instagram to promote her relationship with Popeyes. Megan not only launched a new sauce, but she also acquired a franchise and stated at the time that she would manage the growth of her own Popeyes restaurants.
Megan posted her announcement on Instagram with the caption, “Not only does ya girl have an official sauce, but I’m also a franchise owner and will be opening up my very own Popeyes locations???
