Eminem broke Taylor Swift’s number one streak on the Billboard chart

With “The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grace)”, Eminem brought home his 11th number one album on the Billboard 200 chart.

Billboard recently posted a list of albums reaching the top of the Billboard 200 chart this week. Among them, the number one position belongs to Eminem with his latest album titled The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grace). This is the male rapper’s 11th album to do this on Billboard’s chart.

Currently, Eminem has reached the top 5 artists with the most number-one albums on the Billboard 200, equal to the record with Springsteen, Barbra Streisand and Kanye West. The top position currently belongs to the legendary band The Beatles with 19 number one albums, Jay-Z and Taylor Swift each own 14 albums and Drake has 13 albums.

According to Luminate, the album debuted on the Billboard 200 chart with 281,000 units, becoming the album with the largest weekly units for a rap album in 2024. Eminem’s return broke Taylor’s previous number one streak. 

Swift with the album The Tortured Poets Department. Previously, this album maintained the number 1 position for 12 consecutive weeks. This week, the album of the female singer born in 1989 fell to number 4.
