Cardi B’s Best Friend Star Brim Delays Pɾιsσ𝚗 Suɾɾе𝚗Ԁеɾ for Son’s First Day of School
Star Brim, the best friend of rap star Cardi B, was initially ordered to surrender to prison on July 1 to begin her year-long sentence on RICO charges. However, a judge has approved her request to delay her sentence so she can take her son to his first day of kindergarten.
In March, Brim was sentenced to one year and one day in prison after pleading guilty to involvement in criminal activities connected to the 5-9 Brims, a notorious faction of the Bloods street gаng. Judge George B. Daniels had ordered her to surrender to the Bureau of Prisons on July 1, 2024.
On June 26, Brim’s attorney requested an extension of her surrender date to allow her son to adjust to his new school environment. The little boy will live with Brim’s sister during her incarceration, and Brim wаnted to be present for this important milestone in his life.
“We respectfully request that she be permitted to remain at liberty until September 16, 2024, to allow her son to adjust to his new surroundings and the beginning of school,” her attorney wrote.
Fortunately for Star Brim, Judge Daniels accepted the request, and her surrender date has been postponed to September 20, 2024.
Star Brim’s affiliation with Cardi B and the 5-9 Brims Blооd gаng has been well-documented. She was charged under the RICO Act along with 17 other gаng members, with prosecutors alleging that Brim was the “Godmother” of the gаng.
Judge Daniels sentenced Brim to a year and a day behind bars, followed by three years of supervised release. Additionally, her sentence includes stipulations aimed at preventing her from reverting to her gаng-related past.
