Cardi B is teasing her fans with the possibility of new music which “Very, Very Meаn”
Cardi B is teasing her fans with the possibility of new music. On Wednesday morning, June 12, she took to Instagram Live to share her thoughts about dropping a new track. Cardi hinted that something might be released on Thursday, June 13, despite her team advising against it.
“I want to drop something. I want to drop a little song. I want to drop something on Thursday, but [my team], they’re telling me not to drop it. Should I drop it? Should I leаk it? I don’t know,” she said during the live session.
She described the potential release as “very meаn. Very, very meаn.” When Complex chimed in, encouraging her to release it, she responded, “Complex said, ‘[Drop it].’ You want me to drop it ‘cause it’s messy. Complex, you’re messy.”
Fans immediately speculated that Cardi B might be preparing to respond to BIа’s recent diss track, “SUE MEEE?,” released on June 2. The track accuses Cardi of copying BIа’s style and infidelity in her marriage to Offset. In response, Cardi had previously stated, “I’m so appalled at the fact that she thinks that I’m copying her or that I’m steаling from her because there’s nothing that she does that I like. I don’t like her music. I don’t like her style. I don’t like how she [looks]. I don’t like [anything] about her. I don’t even see the b**ch.”
Cardi has hinted at new music before. In May, she mentioned during a Twitter Spaces session that fans should expect something “this week,” but no new music was released at that time.
Despite the anticipation for solo work, Cardi B has been busy with features. In March, she appeared on Shakira’s “Puntería” and Flo Milli’s “Never Lose Me (Remix).” Two months later, she featured on GloRilla and Megan Thee Stallion’s “Wanna Be (Remix).” Additionally, Cardi is confirmed to feature on Peso Pluma’s “PUT EM IN THE FRIDGE,” set to release on June 20.
Fans eagerly await Cardi B’s next move, wondering if she will indeed drop her “very meаn” new track.
