Cardi B Thanks Fan for Defending Her ‘Multimillion Dollar Accent’: ‘I Will Never Change the Way I Talk’
Cardi B, known for her unapologetic authenticity since her 2017 breakout with “Bodak Yellow,” continues to garner unwavering support from her fans. This loyalty was evident when a fan defended her distinct speech patterns, which have recently come under fire.
A fan took to X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday (June 2) to question whether the criticism of Cardi’s speech had crossed into racist territory. “At what point does making fun of Cardi B’s speech patterns become racist?” they asked.
Cardi B, touched by the support, responded the following day (June 3) with gratitude and a firm stance on staying true to herself. “wwwww thanks for defending me. FCK THEM I will never change the way I talk… I became famous from that just being myself! Then I started making music and became a millionaire out of it,” she tweeted. “THIS IS A MULTIMILLION DOLLAR ACCENT BABBYY OKKKKRRR.”
This exchange appeared to be a reaction to Biа’s recent diss track “Sue Meee?” which took shots at Cardi B, mocking her speech and lifestyle. “You should be home with your kids ’cause b—h, you speak like second grade,” Biа rapped, aiming directly at Cardi.
The feud between Cardi B and Biа has escalated over the past week. Cardi addressed the tension in an Instagram Live, where she threatened legal action against Biа for allegedly making false claims about her. “You could come at me at any angle. You gonna lie on my f–king ρussy. B—h, you lying on my f–king ρussy. When you lie about my ρussy, I’mа sue you and you better come with receipts,” Cardi declared.
Cardi B also appeared to throw shade at Biа in her verse on the remix of Megan Thee Stallion and GloRilla’s “Wanna Be,” released on May 31.
In response, Biа quickly fired back with her track “Sue Meee?” over the weekend, accusing Offset of infidelity, questioning Cardi’s use of ghostwriters, and criticizing her appearance.
Despite the ongoing drаmа, Cardi B remаins resolute in her identity, as demonstrated by her tweet thanking the fan for their support.
