Thought to be the last best friend, but Jay Z seems to be dissing Drake in DJ Khaled’s new song ‘Shining’?
Drake joins illustrious company with his thirteenth number-one record.
Drake achieved his 13th consecutive chart-topping album over the weekend. In its first week of sales, his album For All the Dogs brought in 402k, making it the fourth highest first-week total of 2023. That was clearly excellent enough to open at number one, and it almost sold enough to surpass the combined sales of the other nine spots in the top ten. Furthermore, it is anticipated that the album’s whole 23-song tracklist will open within the top 50 of the Hot 100.
Several records have also been broken as a consequence of his supremacy in the marketplace. Drake isn’t the rapper with the most number one albums, but he’s getting there. Now that he has officially achieved 13 chart-topping projects, he is almost tied with Jay-Z for the most number-one albums among rappers in history. Jay has 14 number-one albums in his storied career, according to All Hip Hop, which he often shows off when flaunting his accomplishments. Although they are first in the rapper category, the two are really in second and third place overall. With an astounding 19 number-one albums, The Beatles are the only act in Billboard history to have topped the Billboard 200 more times.
Drake’s 13th consecutive #1 album
In the last several years, Drake has released new music on a regular basis. Since almost everything he touches goes straight to the top, he has quickly ascended the all-time list. It could take some time for him to surpass Jay-Z’s record, however. After For All The Dogs came out, Drizzy said that he could be taking a break from making new songs in order to take care of himself.
Adonis, Drake’s kid, released his first freestyle over the weekend. He demonstrated it wasn’t a one-time thing by making an endearing appearance on a song from For All The Dogs. With his “My Man” freestyle, the 6-year-old once again won over admirers with his cute demeanor.
