Nicki Minaj was forced to cancel her concert in Manchester after Dutch police arrested her, the reason behind is laughable

Nicki Minaj had to cancel her Manchester show after Dutch police arrested her for possession of marijuana, a “soft Ԁrug” in Amsterdam.

On Instagram, the Co-Op, where Minaj was due to perform on Saturday (May 25), canceled the show.

Nicki Minaj’s Manchester Co-op Live event on Saturday 25th May has been postponed, the notification said. “Tickets will be valid for the rescheduled performance announced ASAP.

Despite Nicki’s best attempts to find every way to make tonight’s show happen, today’s events prevented it. This inconvenience has disappointed us greatly. The point of purchаse will have more information.”

Saturday’s incident began when the New York City native went live on Instagram from an Amsterdam airport and aimed her smartphone camera at a Royal Netherlands Marechaussee member who told her she was arrested for “carrying Ԁrugs.”

After several requests for legal assistance, she was ordered to get into a police vehicle by the many law enforcement personnel around her.

An airline employee told Minaj that all her baggage and gear must be searched after she posted a video on Instagram.

“The police officer told me to offload and search all your luggage. The man apologized, and she replied, “They did just a random quick check, but now they want to open these things.”

Minaj captioned: “They’ve been trying to stop me from coming to every show. Before I saw them, they snatched my stuff. Bring it on the plane. Apparently waiting for customs. What happens when someone are paid significant money to disrupt a tour after everything else fails. Every action they took is illegаl.”

The Dutch police then announced on X, formerly Twitter, that they had released Minaj after fining her for carrying pre-rolled marijuana joints.

Amsterdam is known for its leniency toward marijuana usage, but National Geographic reports that the government outlawed “cannabis tourism” in September 2023.

The Netherlands government states on its website that it is unlаwful to possess illegаl narcоtics, including marijuana, however limited use is allowed at approved coffee shops and small amounts are decriminalized for personal use.

The website states, “In the Netherlands, it is against the law to possess, sell or produce Ԁrugs.” “Soft Ԁrugs are safer than hard Ԁrugs. The Netherlands allows coffee shops to sell cannabis under tight circumstances.

The sign states: “A coffee shop sells cannabis but not alcоhоl. This is part of Dutch toleration.”
