Nicki Minaj recently revealed that she was detained by Dutch police at Amsterdam Airport while preparing to board a flight to the UK for her concert in Manchester.
Police reports indicate that cannabis was found in her possession. Although cannabis is illegаl in the Netherlands, it is tolerated for recreational use.
The Dutch authorities issued a fine and subsequently released Minaj.
Following the incident, the rapper posted on X (formerly Twitter), alleging that the police intentionally delayed her, causing her to miss the concert in Manchester. Despite being released, the delay impacted the scheduled performance.
The concert organizers announced that Nicki Minaj’s show would be rescheduled, with further details to be provided soon.
“Despite Nicki’s best efforts to make it to the performance on time, unforeseen events prevented this from happening. We deeply regret any inconvenience caused,” stated the organizers.
Nicki Minaj is renowned for her hits like “Suρer Freaky Girl,” “Anaconda,” and “Starships.” Throughout her career, she has received 12 Grammy nominations. The Manchester concert was part of her Pink Friday 2 tour, which includes stops in Paris, Poland, Germany, Romania, and Switzerland.
