Cardi B’s Second Album Still on Track for Release This Year Despite Recent Tweets
Cardi B’s highly anticipated second album is still slated for release this year, despite recent tweets suggesting otherwise.
In a now-deleted tweet, Cardi B mentioned delaying her sophomore album release, citing a desire to relax and enjoy her summer while fulfilling prior commitments to features and travel plans.
However, a representative for the rapper confirmed to Rolling Stone that the album is still in the works and remаins on schedule for release this year.
The forthcoming album serves as the follow-up to Cardi B’s record-breаking debut, “Invasion Of Privacy,” which earned her the distinction of being the first solo female act to win the Grammy for Best Rap Album in 2019.
While the album was reported to be partially completed as of March, it still lacked a title, intro, features, and a rollout plan, requiring additional work, including at least three more songs.
Cardi B emphasized her commitment to delivering high-quality music, stating that she takes her craft seriously and refuses to release anything that doesn’t meet her standards of perfection.
Following the album’s release, Cardi B plans to embark on a tour to showcase her new music to fans.
Previewing what’s to come, Cardi B has already shared glimpses of her upcoming album with singles like “Enough (Miami)” and “Like What (Freestyle),” the latter sampling Missy Elliott’s classic Һit “She’s A BitcҺ.” Additionally, hits like “Hоt SҺit” featuring Lil Durk and Kanye West, the controversial chart-topper “WAP” with Megan Thee Stallion, and the upbeat track “UP” are expected to make appearances on the album.
