“WHY DIDN’T YOU GO WITH THE GREEN SISTER OMG,” one social media user commented. Cardi replied, “It wasn’t photographing well … It translated differently in various lighting and angles on camera.”

On the red carpet, Cardi’s black gown required seven handlers to help carry the train as she posed for photos. She accessorized with an extravagant emerald and diamond necklace, matching ring, bracelet, and oversized earrings. To complete her look, she wore a tall black headwrap and long green nails.

For her makeup, Cardi opted for a glamorous look featuring dewy foundation, rosy cheeks, green eyeliner and contacts, filled-in eyebrows, smokey eyeshadow, and long lashes.

Cardi B is known for making a statement at the Met Gala. In 2019, she wowed attendees with the “Camp: Notes on Fashion” theme in a custom Thom Browne design adorned with 30,000 feathers and a daring train. According to Vogue, the ensemble took 35 people over 2,000 hours to complete.
