Ludacris has declared himself the champion in the Lil Wayne vs. Lil Wayne showdown, it doesn’t matter if it’s out of life or poetry

Ludacris believes he can compete with Hip Hop’s GOATS. In the latest episode of “Funky Friday with Cam Newton,” the “Move B**ch” rapper played “Win, Lose, Draw,” choosing himself or a peer as the winner in music video originality and lyrical prowess.

The Grammy Award winner meekly said he would take a L many times, but he was convinced of his victory when Newton matched him against Lil Wayne in a hypothetical freestyle duel. “I think Wayne is one of the best, but he doesn’t freestyle much, so I’d win,” he told the former NFL player-turned-businessman.

Ludacris added, “I’m talking about just straight off the dome, ‘cause he does it. Don’t get me wrong—he makes music fast—but he even stated it wasn’t. He’s extra methodical with his freestyling. Man, Wayne is one of my favorites.”

When facing JAY-Z, he gambled on himself again from 10 feet down. If asked to write a fire verse in two hours, Ludacris declared victory. “A verse—win. He said he will win.

“That’s a bold statement because Hov is one of my favorites too. Verse, guy, metaphor and style, flow, I’ll murԀer it. That doesn’t meаn Hov won’t kιll it. But when you sаy s**t like that and place me in a category like ‘Oh s**t, I’m going against Hov,’ I have to go through every f**king phrase, line, style, flow, and metaphor.”

A-Town said, “You gotta go back and listen to there was a song with me, Nas and Hov on my album called ‘I Do It for Hip Hop’ [that was] so dоpe,” referring to his 2008 album Theater of the Mind.

Ludacris revealed on the “All the Smoke” podcast last year that JAY-Z thought the hyperactive emcee was underappreciated for his lyrical skills. The “Empire State of Mind” singer attributed it to Ludacris’ famously funny music videos. In his hour-long interview with Newton, the Fast & Furious star noted that sometimes not getting recognition helped him.

Ludacris also credited Missy Elliott and Busta Rhymes for pioneering over-the-top visuals in the “Funky Friday” interview. In July, the latter two performers and Ciara will embark on their massive “OUT OF THIS WORLD — THE EXPERIENCE” Tour.
