The ambitious transformation involved a meticulous process, including a 3D scan of Cardi B’s face and the application of 18 pieces of prosthetics on her face, neck, arms, and hands. Despite extensive preparations, the final decision was made to abandon the elderly makeover.

However, hairstylist Tokyo Stylez contributed to the concept with a salt-and-pepper wig, adding to Cardi B’s envisioned “granny” persona.

Ultimately, Cardi B opted for a different look on the Met Gala red carpet, stunning attendees with a black gown featuring a drаmаtic train. Although her appearance garnered praise, Cardi B faced criticism for referring to Chinese designer Sensen Lii as “Asian and everything” instead of using his nаme in a Vogue interview.
