Joe Budden declares J. Cole as no. 1 rapper, ahead of Drake and Kendrick Lamar in ‘Big Three’

J. Cole is ranked as the best rapper by Joe Budden, surpassing Kendrick Lamar and Drake in the “Big Three.”

Joe Budden has everything you need to argue this week if you’re seeking for anything in the hip-hop genre. A former rapper, J. Cole is the best rapper out of the “Big Three,” which also includes Drake and Kendrick Lamar.

In a recent episode of The Joe Budden Podcast, he discussed the Dreamville rapper’s “Might Delete Later Vol. 1” video, which had two minutes of him spitting inspired verses. After that, he gave his thoughts on this ongoing dispute.

Joe Budden Declares J. Cole As No. 1 Rapper, Ahead Of Drake And Kendrick Lamar In “Big Three”

“Cole is my one,” Budden said firmly. “Hopefully, Kendrick Lamar’s upcoming album will attempt to address that for me.” Drake’s acting like a Chuck E. Cheese. Well done, sir. That concludes the matter.

One of his co-hosts, Ice, was inquiring as to what motivates J. Cole to rap at this caliber prior to Joe Budden’s remarks. He said, “I wonder what his motivation is right now.” It’s a certain thing. He’s handling it as if to say, “I really want to be apart from all of you ni**as that you keep bringing me up with.” I will continue until you all agree that I am the finest.

Even though Ice made some really intelligent remarks, there will inevitably be individuals who disagree, and these discussions will go on as long as people like hip-hop. Drake and J. Cole worked together twice in 2023 on the songs “First Person Shooter” and “Evil Ways” from For All The Dogs: Scary Hours Edition, suggesting that they are not too worried with competing with one another.

Alongside Lil Durk, they are now touring the nation as part of the It’s All A Blur – Big As The What? tour. View the music video for “First Person Shooter” above.
