Cardi B expressed that she never imagined marrying her husband, Offset, when they first met

Cardi B recently shared that she never expected to marry her husband Offset when they first crossed paths. Reflecting on their initial meeting, which occurred while she was at a club where Offset and his group Migos were performing, Cardi admitted that she never envisioned marrying one of the band members, despite being introduced to them and hearing their Һit song “Versace” for the first time.

During an appearance on SiriusXM’s The Morning Mash Up, Cardi described her relationship with Offset as having a fiery dynamic, acknowledging their differences while emphasizing that these disparities contribute to their compatibility.

“We do need that fire. I meаn, we’re two different people. Like, we’re very, very different from each other. But I think that’s what makes us work,” Cardi explained.

Despite their contrasting personalities, Cardi highlighted the shared values and mutual support they offer each other as key components of their relationship.

“But one thing that we both love, we both love family,” she said. “And we both love what we do, like we both – we are each other’s support system. I know that he backs me up a hundred per cent and I back him up a hundred per cent. I don’t care.”

Cardi B and Offset tied the knot in 2017 and welcomed their daughter Kulture a year later. Although they faced challenges, including rumors of infidelity that led to Cardi filing for divorce in 2020, the couple ultimately reconciled and announced the birth of their second child, son Wave, in September 2021. Throughout their journey, Cardi has been open about the ups and downs of their relationship, including her decision to remain with Offset despite their temporary separation.
