Taylor Swift returned with her “snake” look in a sophisticated and powerful white dress that took all the spotlight when she matched Lana Del Rey on the 2024 Grammy
At Sunday’s Grammy Awards, Taylor Swift has the chance to create history by being the first person to win Best Album of the Year four times.
The 34-year-old singer previously won awards for Folklore in 2021, 1989 in 2016 and Fearless in 2010, which tied her to Stevie Wonder, Frank Sinatra, and Paul Simon.
However, Taylor’s most recent album, Midnights, is now once again vying for the coveted title that might propel her into the annals of history.
SZA, Oliva Rodrigo, Miley Cyrus, Jon Batiste, Janelle Monae, and Boygenius are among the other nominees for Best Album.
Five more prizes, including the highly sought-after Best Song, Record of the Year, and Pop Solo Performance, are also up for grabs with Taylor’s Midnights.
With nine nominations overall this year, including Song of the Year, Record of the Year, and Album of the Year, SZA leads the field.
Miley Cyrus and Billie Eilish are also nominated for six prizes. What Was I Made For, Eilish’s smash song from the Barbie soundtrack, is nominated for Song and Record of the Year.
Her album Endless Summer Vacation has been nominated for Album of the Year, while her tune Flowers is up for Record and Song of the Year.
Olivia Rodrigo is yet another well-known player vying for the prize.
Album of the Year, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year are among the six categories for which Olivia, who has previously won three Grammys, is nominated.
The jazz crossover performer Jon Batiste, the group Boygenius (Phoebe Bridges, Lucy Dacus, and Julien Baker), Lana Del Rey, Janelle Monáe, and Victoria Monét—who received many award nominations for her album Jaguar II and its singles—are among the other notable candidates.
A plethora of celebrities are scheduled to appear at the event in addition to the well-known figures honoring professional accomplishments.
Presenters Maluma, Meryl Steep, Taylor Tomlinson, Oprah Winfrey, Lenny Kravitz, Lionel Richie, Mark Ronson, and Christina Aguilera have all been revealed.
