Nicki Minaj refuses to delete her vocals from Kanye West’s new song, why?

The verse Nicki Minaj has on Kanye West’s song “New Body” is not obvious. By doing this, she unintentionally caused the highly anticipated (and very contentious) album Vultures by Ye and fellow rapper Ty Dolla Sign, which was scheduled for release on Friday, to be postponed.

Ye shared an image of a communication he made to Minaj requesting for permission to utilize her vocals on the song in a post to X.

The text said, “Hello, this is Ye.”

Would you mind giving New Body a clearance on the next album?

Indeed, for the time being we will merely choose to overlook the fact that the text message is green.

Ye made a request, and Minaj answered it live on Instagram.

“That train has departed the station, okay? with regards to Kanye.

“With no disrespect whatsoever. She went on, “I just put out a brand new album,” alluding to the publication of Pink Friday 2, her most recent album, which was made available earlier in December.

“I’ve had a song out for three years; why would I release it now? Guys, get moving.

There had apparently been plans for variations of the tune to be on three different Ye albums, but those plans have since fallen through.
