Recently, Usher was the main attraction at the NFL Suρer Bowl Halftime Show; however, the R&B singer gained notoriety for giving Alicia Keys a close-up embrace from behind. The “Yeah” hitmaker finally replies to all the fuss after receiving criticism on social media for the moment.
He says, “Anything done there should in no way be viewed as bad or perverted or anything like that.” It was basically about having a good time because of a song that Alicia and I wrote a long time ago. And because of its legacy, we rejoiced. And please, no offense to anyone or anything of the sort.
He went on to sаy that he and Swizz Beatz, the husband of Alicia Keys, joked about it: “Yes, we did.” It’s incredible how people [focused on] that. Man, it all comes down to presentation. But love is the only thing that matters.
Usher also talked about his performance with Nicki Minaj at the 2014 MTV VMAs, which went viral after the Suρer Bowl. “That was Jamaican culture,” he remarked. “I’m telling you, you have to travel to Jamaica.
That was just a pleasant moment in time. By the way, I was playing my bass at the time, so I might have easily bumped my hand or shoulder, but instead I only slightly bounced off her body. You’ll understand when you watch the video again because I did it there for the first time. That was but a small portion of Jamaican culture.
