After years of working together, West Coast icons Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg will finally be immortalized on the Hollywood Walk of Fаme.
A press release states that the N.W.A. icon will be next to his former partner from The Chronic when he receives the 2,775th star on Hollywood Boulevard.
On March 19, Dr. Dre’s star will be revealed, and he will receive recognition in the Recording category.
Producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fаme Ana Martinez said in a statement that “Dr. Dre’s contributions to the music industry are undeniable and have left an indelible mark on popular culture.” As a rapper, producer, and businessman, Dr. Dre has never stopped pushing the envelope and establishing new benchmarks for performance. We are extremely proud to give him a star on the Walk of Fаme in recognition of his amazing career and exceptional contribution.
“Dr. Dre’s star will serve as a lasting symbol of his immense talent and enduring legacy in the music industry,” the speaker went on. The fact that Dr. Dre’s star will be situated adjacent to that of his longtime pal Snoop Dogg makes the placement unique.
Snoop Dogg received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fаme in 2018.
Dr. Dre, Quincy Jones, and Jimmy Kimmel brought Snoop, who was celebrating the accolade over twenty-five years to the day after the publication of his trailblazing debut album Doggystyle, in a fitting introduction.
Apart from his relatives who traveled to Hollywood and Highland, Snoop was encircled by other individuals who aided him on his ascent to fаme.
Dre, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Pharrell Williams, Battlecat, Terrace Martin, Jeannie Buss, DJ Pooh, Big Boy, Bishop Don “Magic” Juan, John Singleton, Jimmy Kimmel, and Warren G. were among the famous people in attendance.
