Ice Spice shares the advice she received from Taylor Swift, promising to do it to become famous like Taylor

Ice Spice revealed some wisdom she learned from Taylor Swift, claiming she would never forget it.

During a Monday, March 4, interview with Billboard, the rapper from “Munch” gave some insightful words that her “Karma” collaborator delivered.

“I’ll never forget that time I spent in the studio with Taylor,” Ice stated. “No matter what, just keep making music and everything will be fine,” she said to me.

In response to a query about what she’s seeking as she prepares for her debut album, Ice stated that a solid beаt is the first thing she needs.

“A really tough beаt first. I’m just going to keep going to the next one if the beаt doesn’t immediately move me, such as if I can’t feel the beаt of the speakers with my body,” she declared. But I’m sure I can beаt it as soon as I find out. You take it from there.

In addition, the “Deli” MC discussed her friendship with Nicki Minaj when questioned about her favorite 2023 top 10 song.

“Princess Diana” with Nicki [Minaj] because I thought that song was already my best one on [Like…?], but it wasn’t charting or anything until Nicki joined the song. The fact that the song not only charted but also seemed to be a perfect cultural fit made me really happy in both of those areas. And simultaneously, my dream collaboration came true.

Since they teamed up on “Karma” last year, Taylor and Ice have been strengthening their friendship. At the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards, the pair sat side by side like best friends not long after that song dropped.

Ice Spice gave a detailed account of how the collaboration came about and the topics they discussed while having a blast at the VMAs in an interview with Variety.

Regarding the collaboration, it started when Ice told her team how excited she was about Swift’s 2020 documentary Miss Americana.

“You really do need to work hard, and not everything is going to be as easy as it seems,” the woman stated after watching Taylor’s documentary. “And after my manager overheard me discussing it, she contacted her staff and they came up with a song for me.”
