Tyla was quietly waiting for Drake to become her Instagram follower
“So I waiting for that follow and hey he was there”
Tyla Seethal, a South African superstar, claims that she was “lowkey” waiting for Canadian rapper Drake to notice her ability. If the rapper had, it would have given her a boost and offered her the chance to collaborate with him.
It’s no secret that several musicians have had enormous success after any kind of support from Drake. In addition to having one of the biggest social media followings, the Canadian rapper has been the most streamed artist for many years and is widely regarded as one of the best rappers of this age, if not the best.
Drake has an unbreakable track record when it comes to number one hits and accolades, and many musicians owe Drake credit for their first hits. Given Drake’s domination in the music industry over the last ten years, some deliberately seek out the possibility to collaborate with him on tracks, knowing there is a potential for success.
But the rapper could be interested in more than just music to the ladies since his OVO label is known for picking up fresh talent. Some artists and admirers of Drake believe that he pursues young, gifted artists as possible love partners.
Drake’s attempt to reach out to Ice Spice and fly her to Toronto to attend a party with him was one of his most recent endeavors. Although they haven’t released any songs together, they later unfollowed one another, which gave fans the impression that Drake was pursuing the 21-year-old.
Speaking on the Big Boy’s Neighborhood podcast, Tyla appears to have known that the rapper would take note of her ability and reach out.
“I was kind of waiting for Drake too.” Since I was aware that he would arrive. I waited for it to happen, and sure enough, he was there, Tyla said.
When Big Boy questioned her about whether she and Drake will collaborate, she said, “Maybe,” then, “I’m silenced, but maybe.” It seems that she and Drake click.
Drake has not commented on Tyla, whose song “Water” became viral on TikTok. The 21-year-old musician was nominated for her first Grammy in the Best African Music Performance category.
