Latto’s Collaboration with Cardi B, ‘Put It On Da Floor Again,’ Achieves Platinum Status
Latto’s Һit song from 2023 featuring Cardi B, “Put It On Da Floor Again,” has officially reached platinum status.
On Wednesday (February 14), the RIAA confirmed that the single had surpassed 1,000,000 units.
Latto acknowledges that much of the song’s success is attributed to the remix featuring Cardi B. In gratitude, she gifted Cardi B a $5,000 Chanel bag. Cardi expressed her thanks by posting a picture of the purse with the caption: “This purse tho 😱💙 ….. Thanks @Latto.”
The rapper, evidently pleased with her choice of gift, retweeted Cardi’s post and expressed her affection for Cardi B, writing: “Love u Big Bardiiiii.”
This news arrives amid a buzzing period for the “FTCU” star, fueled largely by her 2024 single “Sunday Service.”
Earlier this month, Latto outright denied claims that her latest track is a diss aimed at Ice Spice, despite speculation from listeners.
Responding to Elliott Wilson’s critique of her new song on X (formerly Twitter), Latto stated: “Who tf ever said it was a diss??? Video at noon I’m finna go live yallllll.”
However, industry insiders such as legendary Hоt 97 DJ Funkmaster Flex also susρect that “Sunday Service” may be directed at Ice Spice. Flex, a self-proclaimed fan of Ice Spice, hinted that he might refrain from playing the track on his radio show.
The artwork for “Sunday Service,” shared prior to its release, features a wall of female rappers, with each person’s eyes crossed out by a black line. Ice Spice is prominently featured in the top left corner, leading to speculation about the song’s intent.
Despite the ongoing debate, Latto continues to make waves in the music industry, with her collaboration with Cardi B marking another milestone in her career.
