Drake has been known to give away money to a select few fortunate fans during his performances, and he repeated the gesture during his Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania gig.
Friday, February 16th, saw The 6 God visit Steel City, where he performed his Һit songs for an enthusiastic audience, as reported by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
Drake encouraged the audience to give random people hugs since you never know what they might be going through around three-quarters of the way into the performance. Seeing a fan holding up a banner that said, “Ur music carried me through cаncer,” he peered out into the crowd and made a $50,000 guarantee to the survivor.
Drake has already given money to a cаncer survivor on several occasions.
The Toronto rapper and J. Cole embarked on their joint It’s All a Blur — Big as the What? Tour last week, which took them all around Nashville, Tennessee.
Drizzy saw a fan in the crowd during his set putting up a placard that said, “Just Finished Chemo.” He then requested that the crowd see the woman’s sign on camera.
“Listen, put Drake and everyone else in this building right now out of your mind. He remarked, “That’s a real soldier right there,” to applause from the assembly.
The hitmaker for OVO then took it a step further and assured the fan that they will receive $100,000.
“Hey, listen, I want you to cash this in at the end of the night. I hope my manager doesn’t kιll me because I’ve never really done this much,” he continued. “You’re going to get $100,000 from us. I hope the best for you because I love you.
The Tennessean reports that Nashville native Lauren Schwallier, 33, who has been battling breаst cаncer since March 2022, is the recipient.
“After a while, I found myself in the front of the stage when Drake gave me a kiss and declared his love for me!” That was all I could think of. and the money on top of it is just ridiculous,” the woman remarked.
According to the site, Schwallier has been in contact with Drake’s staff, and they plan to get in touch with her again regarding the kind donation.
