Kanye West revealed that he is only ‘2 months away from bankruptcy’ after Adidas terminated his contract
Although Kanye West has faced significant consequences for his antisemitic remarks, none of them have had the same effect as the breakup of his collaboration with Adidas.
Shortly after the controversial rapper’s infamous “Deаth Con” remarks, the corporation first ended its relationship with him in October of 2022.
Ye disclosed to TMZ on Monday, February 12, that’s when things truly started to become bad.
To be really honest with you, I was literally two months away from filing for bankruptcy. We also made it through. We made it through the cancellation.
The rapper also discussed his problems with “different companies” he had previously collaborated with on footwear, particularly with regard to cost; however, he made no mention of Adidas.
Adidas stated at the time that, following its split with West, it would likely lose about $246 million in net income in 2022.
Ye talked up his contentious remarks about Jews in other parts of his recent interview; he had earlier issued an apology for them.
He responded to the criticism of his previous statements, which included endorsing Һitler and disseminating anti-Semitic cоnspiracy theories, by saying, “They got the right to their opinion.” I’m entitled to my own views. Do you get what I’m saying?
“Everyone is free to express their thoughts, but by following our lead, a great number of people will lose their jobs and careers. We were underwater for around nine months.
In a direct response to the backlash to his 2022 tweet threatening to “deаth con 3” Jews, Kanye said, “I even sent the apology and [adidas] still fucƙ with me.” A portion of what I was saying was accurate.
So go ahead and sаy all that until someone says, “Yo, what he was saying, some of that was true.” Antisemitism is not possible among Black people. Can you comprehend that we are Jews? We are Jewish.
“I’m sorry if you had to hear an adult conversation with us screaming at each other, but we got to a point where something needed to happen, something needed to be said,” he continued, addressing all the Jewish children who adore him.
