What’s going on between Drake and Metro Boomin, who seem to be at odds?

One of Drake and Metro’s collaborations is the well-known mixtape “What a Time to Be Alive.” However, some fans have conjectured that there could be problems between the two in recent weeks.

Despite their past collaboration, some fans are certain that Drake and Metro Boomin are having a public back-and-forth right now.

For instance, the 6 Gods were enlisted for Metro’s Not All Heroes Wear Capes track “No Complaints” back in 2017. The “Summer Games” sequel denier later made an appearance on 21 Savage and Metro’s song “Mr. Right Now,” which was taken from their Savage Mode II project.

Metro also handled the majority of the production on Drake and Future’s collaborative album, What a Time to Be Alive (2015). The mixtape’s executive producer is none other than Boominati Worldwide founder, whose most recent endeavor, Heroes & Villains, was nominated for Best Rap Album at the 2019 Grammy Awards.

However, the rumors have been around for a few weeks now, so we thought we’d quickly review what has been claimed and why. For more, continue reading.

Metro Boomin tweets about her loss and attacks award programs.

Metro called out award ceremonies generally in early December, calling them “just politics,” and used Her Loss’ wins over his own Heroes & Villains as “proof.” Drake’s collaborative album 21 Savage, which was released last year, is obviously Her Loss. At the 2024 Grammy Awards, both albums are nominated for Best Rap Album.

“Yet her loss still keeps winning rap album of the year over H&V, proof that award shows are just politics and not for me,” Metro reported at the time. “Idc about awards honestly, the true award and reward is knowing that the music I spend so much time on brings joy to people’s everyday lives.”

Rapper Drake criticizes “tweets and deleterators.”

It’s important to stress once again that none of these are clear indications of a conflict between Drake and Metro. It is, at most, conjecture. However, when Drake spoke about “tweet-and-deleters” in a more comprehensive statement on Kick, rumors of this kind were sparked once again.

Drake said, “And to the rest of you, family—the non-believers, the underachievers, the tweeters and deleters—you guys make me sick to my stomach.” During a livestream,.

Some fans saw this as a Metro hint from Drake.

Drake offers lyrics that fan the flames.
Drake used the last words of the outro to his Views song “Keep the Family Close,” which goes, “So anybody who want it can get it,” in an Instagram Stories post.

Again, no one was specifically addressed, but several fans saw this as Drake’s most recent response to Metro.
