Drake says Rick Ross the greatest rapper alive
A video snippet from Drizzy’s Instagram Story went viral online on Thursday, August 12, and the Toronto rapper referred to Rozay as the “greatest rapper alive.” The brief video stars Smiley, a young Canadian rapper who just released a song called “Over the Top” with the 6 God.
“@richforever @thareal_smiley the greatest rapper alive met my favourite rapper alive,” is the description for the Instagram story.
Rick Ross may have been added to Drake’s previous list of the best rappers, even if he wasn’t included at the time.
Drizzy listed his all-time top five rappers in May of last year. Drake listed his top songs in the comments area of an Instagram post made by O.V.O. Hush, also known as Young Tony, in which Tony had uploaded physical copies of his Deep Pockets mixtapes.
He shortened André 3000’s nаme and said, “My top five is Biggie, Hov, Wayne, Young Tony, and 3000 since nobody asked,” in the Instagram message.
And fortunately for Drizzy, he’s worked in some way with most of his favorite artists, with Lil Wayne serving as his mentor.
Drake has been somewhat secretive regarding the release date of his much anticipated Certified Lover Boy album, while being open about which artists he admires.
The OVO Sound boss said last month that CLB has been finished and he is eager to release it. Drake also said in June that the record would be out before the end of the summer. As September 22 is officially the start of autumn this year, Drizzy still has around one month to fulfill his pledge.
