Drake is a massive artist, and it seems like every album he releases is his best-selling record. He seems to smash some kind of chart or streaming record with every new album. Most recently, he and Michael Jackson shared the record for the most No. 1 songs by a solo male artist on the Billboard Hot 100. Following the release of his most recent album, For All the Dogs, came the milestone. Like every other Drake album, it defied reviews and critics alike by reaching the top of global charts.

Very few musicians have been around as long as Drake has on such a grand scale. Fewer few have remained as relevant as he has. It’s unclear which of Drake’s albums has sold the most copies, considering that all of them have peaked at number one, had many hit songs, and received at least a platinum certification. It is certified 8x platinum, earning that milestone only last month. Every single one of Drake’s albums, with the exception of the just-released For All the Dogs, has reached multiple platinum and #1 positions in various international markets. The eight times platinum certification of Take Care, however, differs significantly from the certifications of his previous albums. 

Drake’s six-time platinum albums Views (2016) and Nothing Was the Same (2013), together with the five-time platinum Scorpion, come the closest to surpassing Take Care in his history. In addition, the triple platinum songs Certified Lover Boy and More Life are joined by the four platinum hits If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late and Thank You Later. Drake has released four albums in the last three years, demonstrating that his productivity has not decreased. Nevertheless, Take Care continues to remain his best-selling record.

Take Care is not only one of Drake’s best-loved albums, but its many singles also helped it become his best-selling album. One of Drake’s most poignant songs to date, “Marvin’s Room,” is the album’s lead single and has become the go-to soundtrack for late-night heartbreaks. The anthems “Headlines,” “HYFR,” and “The Motto” are still among Drake’s most recognizable songs. Moreover, among of Drake’s most cherished partnerships to date are those on “Crew Love” and “Take Care,” respectively, with The Weeknd and Rihanna. Even though several of his multi-platinum songs aren’t among his greatest singles ever, they are nonetheless among his most iconic albums. Take Care’s eight times platinum status and overall financial success may be attributed to its several hit songs.

Drake’s most classic record is Take Care, which also happens to be his best-selling album to date. Drake distinguished himself from other artists by releasing vulnerable and distinctive albums like Thank Me Later and So Far Gone, which showcased his rap and singing abilities. Drake established himself as a musician with a distinct style of hip hop and R&B with Take Care. Drake was able to write from his most honest and open viewpoint thanks to production from artists like 40, T-Minus, Boi-1da, and others.

Drake’s best-selling album, Take Care, included some of his most well-known and popular tracks overall. Since its debut, the rap sensation has been very productive, but the fact that no album has dethroned it as the number one album is evidence of its durability.
