Troy Ave lost his career overnight when he announced he would turn down a $20M offer from a major label

Troy Ave has already garnered a lot of attention this year for his remarks about other musicians, but he is currently the subject of discussion due to allegations regarding his own career.

On Friday, January 12, the Brooklyn rapper posted on Instagram, revealing that he had received a hefty recording deal. The statement also served as justification for his decision to decline the offer.

The “All About The Money” rapper is seen in the picture posing next to two white vehicles, a Maserati and a Ferrari, that have New Jersey license plates that sаy “PAY SR8” and “GOD GR8.”

“A major label made a 20 million dollar offer to me. He captioned it, sаying, “I said no thanks, I’m all white [wink face emoji].” But he didn’t sаy which label was making the offer or why he declined it.

Troy Ave made headlines earlier this month when he participated in Uncle Murda’s yearly roasting session, “Rap Up 2023,” and he apparently taped a response that the public is unlikely to hear.

DJ Self of Power 105 claims that the Brownsville native chose not to release the song because he holds Murda in high regard. DJ Self then asserted that he heard the last of Troy Ave’s recorded response, which he played for his audience.

Troy Ave, a Brooklyn resident, appeared to have been watching the “Get The Strap” rapper’s yearly review when he uploaded a picture of himself on Instagram on January 1. This led to initial rumors that Troy Ave had a bullet in the chamber for Uncle Murda.

He captioned the photo, “Dаmn do I gotta “WRAP this n-gga UP,” implying that Uncle Murda was the target of an upcoming diss song.

Although Troy Ave was willing to overlook “Rap Up 2023,” he wasn’t as understanding when it came to some of his other rap complaints.

He added a new element to his podcast, The Facto Show, on Monday, January 8. As part of this, he shortlisted four candidates for his “Bozo Of The Year” Academy Award.

Charlamagne Tha God, DJ Vlad, Mysonne, and Maino were specifically mentioned by the Brooklyn MC, who nominated them all on Instagram and asked his followers to choose a winner.
