Snoop Dogg will work the 2024 Paris Olympics, in a prime-time news role for NBC

During the halftime of Friday night’s NFL game between the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings, the media business revealed that Snoop Dogg will assist in providing coverage with NBC Primetime during the 2024 Paris Olympics.

“Snoop will speak with NBC Olympics host Mike Tirico and provide the large primetime U.S. audience his unique take on what’s happening in Paris,” NBC said in an announcement. He’ll visit with the competitors, their friends, and families, take in Olympic games and festivities, and explore the city’s famous monuments.

Californian rapper Snoop Dogg hails from Long Beach. He started his rap career in the 1990s and has kept going ever since. He performed during the Super Bowl halftime show in 2022 alongside fellow rappers Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, Dr. Dre, and Mary J. Blige. In addition, Snoop Dogg has pursued careers in acting, investing, and media personality.

Apart from his halftime show, he has always been an avid sports enthusiast. To mention a few sports, he has been spotted several times at NBA, NFL, and NHL games. Snoop Dogg joined an investing group in 2023 in an effort to purchase the Ottawa, Canada-based NHL team Ottaawa Senators.

The dates of the Paris Olympics are July 26 to August 11. The swimming pool will be open from July 27 to August 4.

Snoop Dogg and comedian Kevin Hart summarized the highlights of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics in 2021. Nine episodes in total between the two. Notably, in episode 8, the two discussed records in the sport with Caeleb Dressel. In episode 7, they also had a conversation on swimming and mental health with Michael Phelps.

Snoop Dogg has been assisting NBC with NFL coverage on Sunday nights more recently, and he has highlighted plays in “Snoop’s Dogg House.”

Snoop Dogg’s addition to the programming is a perfect lead-up to the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, given he is originally from the area.
