Nicki Minaj hinted a Pink Friday 2 deluxe collaboration with Rihanna.
In an Instagram post of RiRi dancing to Nicki’s “FTCU” during her Fenty x PUMA event, the Young Money hitmaker wrote: “The full gag city deluxe ain’t coming out until Queen Rih send her vocals. POW.”
Since its December 8 release, Pink Friday 2 has released several bonus songs, including a 50 Cent collaboration and one with Monica and Keyshia Cole.
Her remark implies that Pink Friday 2 will include her first collaboration with Rihanna since their 2010 single “Fly,” which appeared on Minaj’s debut album Pink Friday.
These superstars collaborated on “Raining Me𝚗,” from RiRi’s 2010 Loud LP.
In the seven years after 2016’s ANTI, Rihanna has rarely recorded music.
“Lift Me Up” from the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack and PARTYNEXTDOOR collaborations were among her most memorable recordings.
Nicki Minaj recently told Andy Cohen about her longtime respect of Rihanna.
“There are two wоme𝚗 I have looked up to in the music industry since I came in it in a different way, just because of who they are and where I’m from and who I am,” she remarked. “Yes, Bey and Rih.”
Nicki just broke records with Pink Friday 2, cementing her legacy.
Nicki’s third No. 1 album, the most of any female rapper, opened atop the Billboard 200 with 228,000 equivalent album units in its first week.
Foxy Brown’s solo album Chyna Doll and The Firm: The Album, a collaboration with Nas, AZ, and Nature, topped the 1990s charts twice. Nicki was previously tied to her.
Pink Friday 2 also had 17 songs on the Billboard Hоt 100, a record for a female rapper.
