Cardi B, known for her hit “I Like It,” has opened up about her emotions in the aftermath of her split from estranged husband Offset. In a candid Instagram Live session on Friday, the 31-year-old rapper shared an emotional and tear-filled rant, providing insight into the challenges she has been facing.
Expressing her vulnerability, Cardi stated, “This individual really enjoys playing mind games with me, especially when I’m at my most vulnerable and least confident.” The Neighborhood Talk captured her words in a video. “He likes to play games because he knows I’m not an easy person.”
Growing increasingly distressed, Cardi revealed that she had been lenient towards the 32-year-old rapper Offset, known as “Set It Off.”
“You’ve really been feeling yourself lately because of your album and such. You’ve been treating me poorly after all the years I’ve helped you, without even a thank you,” she added. “It’s insane that I have to resort to the internet because when I talk to you, you don’t say anything, and I’m exhausted by it.”
In since-deleted Twitter posts on X, Cardi emphasized, “People will test you when you’re at your lowest and most vulnerable… feeling yourself, but trust me, the tables turn.” She directly addressed Offset, stating, “[Offset], you disrespectful person, and trust me, I’ll confront it!”
Cardi’s revelations followed her previous announcement that she and Offset had been separated for a considerable period. “I’ve been single for a while now,” she disclosed during the livestream, acknowledging that some fans may have sensed the breakup through her social media cues, such as changes in music choices and unfollowing each other on Instagram.
Looking ahead to the new year, Cardi expressed a desire for a fresh start and an open, exciting future. Despite the publicized ups and downs in their relationship, a source informed PEOPLE, “They’re tumultuous. They’ve broken up and gotten back together and broken up again more than the public has seen.” The insider added, “They’ve had really good times together.”
Cardi B and Offset, who quietly married in 2017, share two children—daughter Kulture Kiari, 5, and son Wave Set, 2. Despite the challenges, their journey has been marked by moments of love and support, making their relationship a complex and evolving story.
