When Snoop Dogg visited his friend Tupac Shakur in the hospital, just hours after the legendary rapper had been shot four times at a stoplight in Las Vegas in 1996, he wasn’t quite ready to see him in such terrible form.
The MC said on Logan Paul’s “Impaulsive” podcast, “When we drive to Vegas to see Pac, we got to Suge house first, so we haven’t even seen Pac.” Former Deаth Row CEO Suge Knight was operating the vehicle when the rapper from “Me Against the World” was shot in the passenger’s seat.
“We just spoke with Suge, and he had the head wrapped up. He told us what had happened and assured us that Pac would be okay, even though he had been shot nine times before.”
But when the Long Beach resident got to the hospital, she was shocked to learn how serious Shakur’s injuries were.
“We think everything will be fine until we visit the hospital and discover that something is wrong. He had tubes inserted into him, Snoop recalled. “I felt like he wasn’t even there when I walked in, and I passed out.”
However, Snoop received both practical and metaphorical support in finding his strength from Afeni Shakur, her mother.
“My baby hasn’t seen you weak,” she said. I don’t want you to appear helpless in his presence. After taking care of yourself in the restroom, you return to the room to speak with him and express your feelings.
The rapper “Beautiful” also mentioned that he was at odds with his “2 of America’s Most Wаnted” partner at the time, but ‘Pac’s mother assured him that they were always in love.
Snoop remarked, “My baby loves you,” in response to what was stated to him. “She was aware of the occasional cоnflict, but she also understood our deep love for one another. She then gave us a time so that I could tell him how much I love him. However, I was aware that would be my last conversation with him.
On September 13, 1996, Shakur passed away from respiratory failure following six days of hospitalization.
