Lil Wayne’s memory loss has left most of his life in a haze.
In a recent interview with Rolling Stone on Friday, the rapper from New Orleans disclosed that he is unable to remember which of his own songs were featured on which of his well-known albums.
He acknowledged, “I don’t know ‘Tha Carter III,’ ‘Tha Carter II,’ or ‘Tha Carter One’ from ‘Tha Carter IV.'”
Wayne, forty, went on to say that he doesn’t remember his projects, therefore they have “no significance” for him “at all.”
And that’s the pure, unvarnished word of my God. You could ask me about a certain song, and I wouldn’t even know what you were talking about, so you could lie.
The rapper known as “Lollipop” claimed that his memory loss is so severe that he can’t even remember the release dates of his albums, citing “Tha Carter III” as an example.
Wayne said, “That’s how much I don’t know,” before offering one theory as to why his memory fails to retain crucial information.
“I work every day, bro—every single day,” declared the rapper known as “A Milli.” “In addition, I always consider it to be a part of both the gift and the curse.”
According to Wayne, the benefit of having a poor memory is that he was endowed with a “amazing mind” that allowed him to write such hits in the first place.
He told Rolling Stone, “I think God gave me this amazing mind, but He would not give [me] an amazing memory to remember this amazing s–t.”
According to reports, Wayne has a medical background that includes a protracted fight with epilepsy.
According to Rolling Stone, the “Sucker for Pain” rapper had to postpone a performance in Las Vegas in 2017 due to many seizures. At the time, he was allegedly discovered comatose in his hotel room in Chicago.
