During the live announcement of the separation, Cardi B confirmed the signs of the breakup she had displayed on social media recently. She also candidly stated, “I’m tired of protecting other people’s feelings. I have to put myself first.”

In October, Cardi celebrated her birthday in a romantic setting with Offset, showcasing extravagant gifts and a room filled with roses. The couple also marked their fifth wedding anniversary in September.
Throughout their time together, Cardi B and Offset faced several challenges in their marriage, including Cardi filing for divorce twice in 2018 and 2020 amid rumors of Offset’s infidelity. However, both times, she withdrew the divorce petitions.
