Nicki Minaj Releases New Track ‘Needle’ Featuring Drake – Listen Now

Nicki Minaj has once again joined forces with Drake, presenting their latest collaboration, “Needle,” part of Minaj’s recent album, Pink Friday 2.

The song, featured among the 22 tracks on the project, unfolds as a melodic experience with Drake showcasing his vocal talents over a smooth Afrobeats instrumental. In his verses, he sings, “If these diamonds in my head can’t weigh me down, what makes you think that you could weigh me down? Stop it right now. Friends were pessimistic ’bout our love, heard they tired now. We both know they’re miserable at home, f**k ’em all.”

Nicki Minaj follows Drake’s lead in the chorus, singing, “I could stay back, I could take that, come and lay back, on our way back. Make a movie, watch the playback. Nah, don’t save that, I don’t play that.”

The duo, former Young Money collaborators, has previously teamed up on tracks like “Moment 4 Life” from Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday debut in 2010. Although they haven’t shared the mic in a few years, their last collaboration was on “Seeing Green” in 2021, featuring Lil Wayne, part of the reissued version of Nicki Minaj’s 2009 mixtape, Beam Me Up Scotty.

Pink Friday 2 also boasts guest appearances from J. Cole, Lil Uzι Vert, Lil Wayne, Future, and more.

Drake had hinted earlier that Nicki Minaj would be featured on his recent album, For All the Dogs, during his It’s All a Blur Tour in July. Despite the anticipation, Nicki Minaj did not appear on the project upon its release on October 6.
