Snoop Dogg appears in the comedy “The Underdoggs” as a washed-up football star

The first trailer for the entertaining new comedy on Prime Video, “The Underdoggs,” featuring Snoop Dogg in the role of a former NFL player, was published.

Who’s giving up the mic for a whistle, guess? Yes, Snoop Dogg is making a bold career move as a coach in the entertaining new comedy on Prime Video called The Underdoggs.

The comedy appears to be the ideal light comedy to watch on a lazy Sunday afternoon, based on the just released trailer.

In the movie The Underdoggs, Snoop plays former NFL athlete Jaycen “Two Js” Jennings, who gets into a bus accident and has to perform community service in his hometown. But rather than serving his sentence, he chooses to mentor a group of young people who are attempting to form a football club.

Snoop begins the trailer by reflecting on the dangers of becoming a celebrity.

According to the rapper Gin And Juice, “America loves motherfuckin’ greatness” in the teaser. “But everyone wants to see you fall once you reach the pinnacle of greatness.”

Snoop takes on the task of transforming a group of underdog youngsters into a legitimate football squad, working with a group that includes Tika Sumpter, George Lopez, and Mike Epps.

NFL players like De’Anthony Thomas, Ronnie Hillman, John Ross, and Juju Smith-Schuster are also expected to make brief appearances on The Underdoggs.

Naturally, Snoop Dogg is not only the star but also the producer, pulling strings in the process. Snoop has been testing his acting muscles with roles in anything from Dolemite Is My Name to “The Addams Family and The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run,” ranging from Training Day to Scary Movie 5 and even Pitch Perfect 2.
