Hitkidd Reveals Nicki Minaj & Cardi B’s Rejected Collaboration on GloRilla’s ‘FNF’ Remix
Nicki Minaj and Cardi B both expressed interest in jumping on the remix of GloRilla’s “FNF (Let’s Go),” but their collaboration requests were turned down, according to the song’s producer, Hitkidd.
The Memphis native shared this information on Twitter, emphasizing his initial goal to “change the game and bring the hottest female artists onto one track,” including Megan Thee Stallion.
However, Hitkidd stated that he declined Nicki’s remix request due to a “moral decision” as he had already promised other artists to feature in the song. The reasons for Cardi and Megan not making the cut remain unclear.
Hitkidd wrote: “Nicki Minaj called me to join the FNF remix, but I stayed loyal to the people I had already committed to. No cap, Cardi wanted to be on the FNF remix, and I encouraged Meg to join her. I’m trying to change the game and bring the hottest female artists onto one track!
He added, “I love Nicki’s artistry, but I made a moral decision. As I said, I’m trying to gift everyone a song and change the game. I have to clarify it, but we have a video with Saweetie. She showed a lot of love, which is why I still want to drop it. Hopefully, we can bring it to the fans!”
The official release of the “FNF (Remix)” took place in September 2022, a few months after the original song, featuring guest verses from Latto and JT of City Girls.
The remix was also speculated to include Saweetie, but she was omitted without explanation, sparking rumors of a potential rift between her and GloRilla.
Big Glo swiftly addressed the speculation by expressing gratitude for Saweetie on social media, highlighting their positive interactions. Saweetie also reciprocated the sentiment, praising GloRilla for his kindness and acknowledging their enjoyable collaboration.
While the exact reasons for Nicki Minaj and Cardi B’s exclusion from the remix remain undisclosed, Hitkidd’s revelations have added a layer of intrigue to the evolving narrative surrounding GloRilla’s “FNF (Let’s Go)” remix.
