The upscale Pestana CR7 Marrakech is housing earthquake victims, according to Spanish national Irene Seixas, who told 24h channel.

She said: “We booked a room at Ronaldo’s suburban hotel. We await. We slept all night on the road and were allowed to go to the hotel at 7am.

 

 

 

 

“We were in the hallway, a lot of different nationalities were waiting for a room,” she said.

The Pestana CR7 Marrakech Hotel, owned by Cristiano Ronaldo, features 174 spacious rooms with Moroccan-inspired decor and facilities.

The victims felt lucky and grateful for Ronaldo’s practical assistance.

The 6.8 magnitude earthquake struck the High Atlas highlands, 72km southwest of Marrakech, a popular tourist destination.

The earthquake caused at least 2,012 deaths and over 2,059 injuries, making it as powerful as 25 atomic bombs. Country people and tourists panicked and raced to any building for shelter.

Cristiano Ronaldo also offered his condolences to the earthquake victims’ loved ones.
